Need a dab of Aeroshell grease in Camrose AB.

We sell re-packed syringes of Aeroshell 64, 8-10 mL each for $15.00 if anybody is interested. Not listed on our website, but available via phone or email. The cleanest and easiest way to deal with this grease.

lots of moly grease out there that doesn't have graphite.

If you read the military specification, you will see that it is just a collection of ASTM testing requirements for (a) product(s) that is and are wide ranging in scope and use.
The vast majority of it doesn't have anything to do with threading a barrel nut on to an aluminum receiver, or threading anything together for that matter as it 99.999% used as a lubricant.
It is quite likely to be specified due in fact to the wide availability, and nothing to do with it being the superior product for the actual application.

I use an appropriate anti-seize for the most part and in 25+ years that hasn't proven to be a poor decision.

No, it is not as many contain Graphite which shouldn't be used with Aluminum. You want moly but, Graphite free moly. Or, you could just use the correct product that is readily available almost everywhere...Aeroshell 64.

Is there another name for it? I can't find it anywhere except online where shipping costs more than the grease.

Aeroshell 33MS or 64(not regular 33). It can be found at almost any airport in Canada but, some Shell distributors also stock it. True North Arms is an easy place to get a small amount of it and there shipping is only $7.

Okay thanks!

When you said "readily available everywhere", I thought I was doing something wrong.

Online or sneaking into an airport maintenance hanger it is!

And here I thought I'd seen it all, but a pissing match over grease suddenly reminded me that the internet is indeed a weird place...

I am not sure where you get "pissing match" from. Just the usual CGN thread where a bunch of people post their recommendations/opinions. The problem is some don't research the correct product and why to use it and just do whatever they want. That is fine with their own stuff but, imo if a person is going to recommend a product to someone who asks which is the correct one to use, then they should be recommending correct one to use based on science/manufacturers recommendations not what they feel like using on theirs or one that may do damage. Just my opinion, YMMV.

No problem.

Yeah, it's not something that can usually be found at the local Canadian Tire. Although you may be able to find a comparable product there.

You could try calling your local Shell distributors as they are usually who supplies the airport. You may only be able to get a huge grease gun size cartridge of it though. That's why I suggest TNA as they have 7 dollar shipping and sell it in small containers perfect for a few builds. Going and asking the techs at the airport is another option but, can be difficult if you don't know someone due to airport security.

Send me a pm, I have some Aeroshell 33 MS, the number was changed to 64 to avoid some confusion as there are 3 different #33 greases commonlyused in aviation,I use all 3.I can mail some to you.

If anyone wants some Aeroshell 64 in central AB. I can get lots of it. High quality Aviation grease that we use everyday on aircraft.

I just use this really sticky green stuff or this really sticky tan stuff that I got a couple of syringes full of years ago. One is rumored to be a low temp skidoo bearing grease. Works on my 1911, both CZs, both ARs and my M14 and my tallywhacker is still in place and functional.
