need a good .22lr pistol

Mike you should watch some youtube vids on your Ruger and get it dialed. While you are at it find out all the tricks for keeping them running without full disassemble.

Compressed slovents and lubes can blast them out right at the range.

i need a good top quality .22lr semi atomatic pistol that is the easiest to take apart and clean, something that comes apart like a glock or a sig. Something to practice my fundamentals every week.

I have a 22/45 i pretty much mangled the rear sight trying to put it back together, so im tired of stupidly designed guns, so no more rugers tor me.

budget is maximum 500$
In that price range, look for a used Browning Challenger or Colt Woodsman.

Ask around at the local range, you can probably find someone to walk you thru the field strip and re-assembly on the Ruger
in person if the videos don't resonate for you. Look for an older Ruger owner :)

I don't normally bother removing the grips or the barrelled receiver from the pistol grip
when cleaning. Powder residue around the breech face, bolt face, bolt body and receiver
where the bolt reciprocates is what causes the Ruger to hang up in my experience.
Blowback .22LR's build up fouling fast.

I'm a gsg fan.....bought my first..sold it on ee, then really missed it and bought another on ee.....just great pistol to shoot....full tear down isn't too bad after he first time..

I had the majestic easy dissassembling kit ( like shown in the above video) installed by my gunsmith on my Ruger Mark 3. Very impressive. Cleaning is quite easy.

OP said glock like? For under $500. then ISSC M22, hands down, I own it and think its a good fit to the collection.
But some of you are right. CZ kadet or S&W m&p 22.

I would suggestions and where i can buy it.

thanks
Rugers are king of the hill in 22LR. Guns are only stupidly designed if the person trying to disassemble it does not read instructions and learn how to do it first try.
Protip: RTFM and then you will be able to forever takedown your mark series in about a minute.

yes, but the problem would still remain that i cant frigging disassemble that stupid gun

S&W 22A-1. Push the button in front of the trigger guard and the gun comes apart in 3 seconds, goes together in about 10 sec. You just have to be careful of the little catch at the end of the slide under the rear sight that you don't break it off. Never had a problem yet. I have one, around $350 +/- and is a tack driver. Love this thing.

A very underrated gun shoots very well and a great buy

I have a tangfolio force 22lr. I bought it because I wanted the look and feel of a "real gun" for lack of a better word. I purchased it a few years ago. Long before all these 1911/22lr fs/22lr clones were coming out...
My options were CZ kadet, Sig mosquito and the tangfolio.

I think its a great gun... Crisp shooter accurate and has a sweet trigger. Shoots anything you want to feed it.disassembles kinda like a 1911. Gun is lightweight .

Just some food for thought. Only complains would be that it needs to be cleaned often. Does not like to operate dirty and the slide doest lock back after last round is shot.

after 600 rounds my 22/45 wouldn't cycle anymore, so i needed to clean it, took me a month and my wife's hands and eyes to put it back together.

Really, a month? You have the internet and there are very good websites that will show you exactly how to dis-assemble and re-assemble with pictures and everything. I guess you don't have the owners manual either. I had one for a while (my first Ruger semi-auto) and I was very frustrated for about 20 min. until I re-read the owners manual and did it the right way. After 2 or 3 dis-assemblies I could put it back together in about 5 min. So if you were otherwise happy with the gun I wouldn't discount a Ruger just yet. TC

Can you do a bit of a review of the Tanfoglio 22l force please.
I am interested in it but not a lot of.info on the net about it.

I've got one as well. Until Rick comes back let me fill ya in a little. And yeah, it's a pretty nice gun. Although due to only having two magazines for it I don't shoot it much anymore.

I especially liked the fact that the feel of it is very much like a bigger gun. And it looks pretty good too.

At the time I was shooting IPSC hence the target shape. The group below the trigger was shot at 12 yards in slow accuracy shooting. The rest was likely speedy lift-sight-shoot drills so that's why the two shots on the left are way over there above the slide.

I've got big hands, so this is certainly not a small gun. In truth it feels a touch fatter than my CZ's.

Mags aren't cheap either which is why I never got more.

I ended up with another gun which came with extra mags. So the S&W 422 became my "main squeeze". Then I tripped over an almost new 2206 with more mags again and never looked back.

Strip down is easy. Pretty much the same way as a CZ. Move the slide back a hair so two marks line up then tap out the slide stop and slide the slide forward off the gun. Because it's a full length slide it IS made from an alloy casting so it's not too heavy for the blowback energy. I know how some folks hate that but there it is.

Several folks, including my brother, say very good things about the Sig P226 22 conversion. It apparently works reliably and is easy to maintain.

If you double your price level, you can get a Walther Olympia. Trivial to take apart and put back together (takes seconds, no tools). Lovely design. Very accurate too.

I wasn't impressed with the build quality nor designs of the Colt Woodsman or Ruger 22/45 I examined at my LGS (let alone the Chiappa 1911-22, shudder). I might have considered them for $50, but not for $450+ they were asking.

Just my thoughts.

nope they sold it to me without the box, without the manual without anything, 1 magazine, told me it came that way from ruger. More lgs bullsh!t and bad service. One of the reasons why I only shop online now, yes i looked at the videos, no help. No, in my opinion, it is the hardest firearm I've ever had to reassemble, your mileage may vary, thats good for you, still hard for me.
