need a good scope

I have REM 338 ultra Meg and i want to use it for long range and i need help to find a good scope for a good price so can anyone help me out?

The 3x9x40 zeiss conquest would be a great choice with 4" of constant eye relief.

3x9x40 Shepherd with corresponding reticle out to 1000yds, tough, light and has an adjustable objective. I had one that was submersed in the Prophet River in northern BC for 3 days and was washed a couple of miles downstream before it was found. After cleaning the rifle and makeing sure nothing was plugged or broken, other than a few external scratches, every thing was fine, only needed a very slight zero tweek and that was probably due to removeing the action from the stock for cleaning after its immersion. Another scope to consider is the IOR Valdada, with the M8 reticle. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the scopes mentioned above either, other than they usually don't have graduated reticles unless specially ordered. bearhunter

Ive shot 300 Ultra mags and 3.5 inches of eye relief is fine, get a Leupold.

Never had a problem with Leupold on my Hunting Rifles. VXIII is a great product.

The vxIII certainly is a good scope,but for the same price the 3x9x40 conquest is brighter and offers a constant 4" of eye relief.

When I read this I don't think he is askin for a Var X III.

I read that as being on a budget, not I have $600 to spend. Maybe it is just me though.
