Hello, I would need a gunsmith appraisal for the following.
Extend the lenght of pull on my manners composite stock by 1’’.
It will probably end up in scrapping the pachmayr decelerator pad and having to glue and form a new one.
Please send me a PM if capable, and we could exchange text numbers or emails to get discussions going.
Thanks!

Been trying to get a hold of them for many many months now, an option now exhausted.
Would of still needed a smith to install cleanly, but at least would of likely reduced labor time needed.

OP, spacers are easily made up, out of all sorts of different/appropriate materials.

Your stock design makes it very quick and easy and you wouldn't have to scrap your existing pad.

Talk to a local carpenter or machinist. Take off the butt pad and get them to produce spacers with appropriate holes and matching the shape of your butt pad.

That would be the easiest and cheapest way to get the job you want done accomplished.

I had brought it to a local gunsmith last November.
If the pad was screwed as you say he would of worked on it.
The fact that the pad was glued on made him back away from the contract.

I know it's a "long shot" but I ended up contacting Tom Manners through Snipers Hide, and with the recent changes to ITAR shipping it back may be an option.
You may also get the validation you need, by them telling you it can't be done, so you can go ahead to Plan B

His user name on the Hide is tmanners,

A decent band saw makes a very narrow cut and that pad would be off in a few seconds, nice and clean. I've done it myself on several different stocks.

Not sure why your smith couldn't figure that out???

Spacers can be made from all sorts of readily available materials. I use everything from scraper rubber, which has a high Durometer rating, to black or white plastic.

Some of the injection molded stocks such as your Manners will have the pads glued on or even included in the injection process. They can still be cut off cleanly.

Sometimes it also requires that an epoxy plug be poured into the base to provide a decent base to install a helicoil for different length screws or something to put plastic screws into.

Did you reach out to Bighorn or GBT for parts?

You could try Paul Barrette at ReddNobb for the work, but you may be better off selling or trading the stock for an adjustable.

Tom at GBT has been great with updates, had this on order since december but Manners keep forgetting to send it and it is Manners dropping the ball.
I sincerely love the stock, out of all stocks ever owned (MDT ESS, MDT LSS XL, HS precision, McMillan), it is hands down my favourite of all.
Just was made damned too short, I think I purchased a midget edition without knowing.

Had to change scopes since I got that stock, since a Vortex Razor gen 2 cannot be mounted forward enough to use with it's long eye relief,
With a NF ATACR I can barely make it.

Why not put a longer scope base on and move the scope forward? Sounds like the stock fits you but the only problem is the eye relief.

Very nice rifle indeed.

Thanks, I take pride in my component selection for this one, just the brake will change as I don’t quite like it.

It’s a custom action, and I called them to check this out.
They only offer this lenght of rail in 20 moa, they don’t even offer other cants if I wanted to.

Do you need a 20 moa rail with a NF scope? I ask because I am really not a scope guy. When I do mount my Unertl scope on my .22 match rifle the back of the scope is about even with the trigger when shooting prone. My head is in the same position using either iron sights or scope with this rifle.

At the ranges I shoot (900M), with the caliber I’m shooting (6.5x47) and with the scope tube dia (34mm), I would get there without the 20 moa rail.
But it’s the only rail available with this custom action so it’s my only choice.

All good, if ever I decide to screw in a 308 prefit at any moment I’m golden.

You could have a Picatinny rail as long as your barrel. Custom action or not the bottom of the rail needs to be the same contour and the proper hole spacing in order to mount it. Changing the length of pull on your stock may make it uncomfortable to shoot. I don't believe the LOP is your problem, eye relief is the problem. Moving the scope forward on a longer rail solves this.
I have seen a lot of prone shooters that shoot stocks that are set up with too long of a length of pull.
