I'm shopping for a new 300 moose gun, i like the new T3 camo stainless but i cant find any good deals or sites. My local gun shop is selling them for almost 1200, for a mag! so if you have any good links i would be very thankful
i'm also not sure what to get a 300wsm or a win mag?
:sniper:
Thank you
Tyler

300 win mag or 300wsm

Decisions decisions!!
Have you tried the nice folks at GMK beside Bill Martins?? You might be surprised at what they have. Are you looking for new or "gently" used-they have both. There's lots to recommend the 300 win mag but if I had to do it again [use .338 win mag Tikka m695 ported ...sweet!] I'd probably opt for a 300 wsm. Almost same ballistics ,lighter rifle and what do you more of?? Carry them or shoot them in the field [that is] . Hell I'd probably look at that .338 Federal seriously as well! I'm pretty sure you can do better than $1200.
Cheers!:dancingbanana:

Accuracy Plus has a used m695 stainless in .300WM, same price as a new T3, but 5 years from now it'll still be worth the same $$.;)

Q071 Tikka 695 stainless package 300 mag. excellent $799.00

.300 Win Mag has both tolerable recoil and since its older than dirt off-the-shelf ammo is just a bit more expensive than .30-06.
short mags are for wieners :nest:

i also find that the premium charged for factory camo is rediculous... its worse than factory tint on cars. IMO camo is only really necessary on turkey guns, save your money and get a much cheaper standard model.

thanx for the help. i have acually bought my last 3 guns from GMK they are pretty good there. how can i treat the uglyness of a well used synthetic on my m695

What does "dirt off-the-shelf ammo" mean? Is that what they used to put on a Winchester white box, when they ran out of things to say.

In a T3, probably not. If you hear the WSM kicks less than the .300 WM, it's not true. And in a rifle as light as the T3, it will kick the snot out of you. The .300 Winchester Magnum will always hold a spot in my heart, as I fell in love with it years ago. The WSM will do anything it will, but nothing more. Perhaps you don't need a magnum at all. A .308 or .30-06 will send the same bullet as the magnums, but only a few hundred feet slower, but with far less recoil. And those few hundred feet per second will most certainly not be felt by any moose that walks, and that was shot at normal hunting ranges. (300 yards, though you will probably be much closer)
