Need a Hunting Course

A friend of mine moved back to Ontario after being away for a while. He wants to go hunting with me so I'd like to get my hunting license.

I already have my PAL and guns and don't require any more training in that area, just hunting. I say this because I've looked around online and most of what I find are these combination courses that cost twice as much money and take up a whole weekend instead of just one day.

Does anyone know of a course in the Burlington ON area (I'd even be willing to drive an hour or so if needed) that offers the stand alone hunter education course and has any spots open in the near future?

You guys are the best group of people I could think of to ask. If you don't know, I don't know who would. Don't let me down. :)

Well thanks for the advice. I emailed the guys at that site to ask about open spots in the course so hopefully that will work out (they're just in brampton, not too far away).

Otherwise I guess I'll ask around and see if I can get somebody to just give 1/2 the course. I've heard though that the hunting course is mandated to be 11 or 12 hours long though, unless you take the firearms course at the same time, then it only needs to be 10 hours. So if I just take the hunting portion it might be a problem?

In any case I'll see what this guy says and go from there. Thanks for the help you guys.
 
If I'm not mistaken I think the guys at Silverdale gun club can set you up with a pal/hunting or just hunting course.
They aren't too far from Burlington.
You could give them a call and find out.
