Need a little help: Bipod + Choate stock - see inside for pics...

Choate T bar:

The bipod "T" bar is made from solid steel, is 5” long, weighs only 5oz. and it will fit the swivel type or solid bipod.

The "T" also allows for the bipod or other accessories to be mounted at variable positions along the rail.

The "T" bar will fit any rifle equipped with an Anschutz rail.

Yea, I was looking into those f-class style bipods made by the guys here on CGN, especially since the next batch is supposed to be black...

But it wouldn't be very useful anywhere other than the range....

I wouldn't mind a versapod with ski feet or something like that... $$$ though

Why not? The design is set up for field use and we have no issue shooting it at extreme distance even with big boomers.

F class is shot prone on grass or dirt mounds so not much different then any other field use.

Set up to work with either two common T slot dimensions - Choate and Anschutz.

It doesn't fold but that also means, all the slop associated with a hinge is gone. But it can come apart and fold flat... Easy to toss into a back pack and carry.

Then being 14 1/2 oz, you aren't packing alot of weight. On and off with 1/2 twist of the mounting lever.

I just put mine under my rifle in my case. Try doing that with ANY other ski pod. And how much do they weigh?

None of these fold either.

NO matter, for field useage, the Harris is the go to option and has worked well for thousands of shooters for decades. Is it as good as some new gen options? Depends on how good you are.

If you want an f-class style, pretty hard to beat the features and price of the sinclair pods at 200$

Follow some of the US threads on shooter feedback for this rest.

They may be working on version 4 soon enough?

Hey Jerry,

I love the look of your bipods, but I think they may be a smidgeon out of my price range, that's for sure. Used harris for $50,or new pod for $200 + tax + ship :(

I will admit, I do wish I could have one of your pods in black! (and the fact that it folds flat in a backpack is awesome!)

Shoot them side by side and I think you will find the MPOD a very nice investment.

How much money does it cost to MISS?

I can shoot in the 1's and 2's on paper at 500m with my MPOD. I am happy to be sub MOA with the Harris.

Like I said, the Harris is a very useable set up IF you are up to the task. And I do know of a few shooters who can make the Harris ROCK.

Precious few F class shooters choose to use the Harris in competition.

Why?

Jerry

PS, if you want to buy the MPOD, I will offer you (anyone) a simple guarantee - buy it, try it, if you don't feel it is offering you a solid, stable and tractable rest, return it and I will even pay for the return postage.

I'll give it some thought for sure :)

Lol, the cost of missing sure adds up but advise on this thread if free thank god, so just remember what it cost you. There is no magic rest or action or bbl make or whatever that will beat practice. Buy a pod that fits the style of shooting you are doing and in your price range then spend as much time shooting as you can. One feature I would recommend whether it is Harris, mpod, or Sinclair is the ability to cant. When you are on uneven terrain you will really appreciate it.
