Hey all, getting a big jump to the left every time I fire my rifle. Currently there's no muzzle break, didn't think I'd need one because the recoil is so low on these rounds, but I'd like to reduce the amount of "jump" I'm getting. Pretty annoying to move the bi-pod after every shot.

It's got a thick barrel, and I'm concerned I'll buy something that looks like sh*t. lol Anyone have any experience finding a MB for these, or similar thick barrel M700's? Recommendations? Condemnations?

Thanks!

I originally had a Surefire ProComp on my 6mm for a bit. Didn't reduce the recoil much but the rifle came straight back every shot. TNA has what looks like an exact clone.

Here is a brake which I installed on a .308. Muzzle threaded, brake torqued against the shoulder.
The brake was bored to diameter after being threaded on to the barrel.

Don't know if things have changed, but at one time brakes were considered to be Significant Military Equipment (SME) and restricted for export.
There are a number of Cdn. businesses that manufacture quality brakes. And who will install one for you.

That's good info. I'll make sure to look into that.

Off the top of my head, Modular Driven Technologies, Insite Arms, ATRS, Dlask offer brakes. There are others; I'm sure members will make suggestions. Installing a brake is something that should be done well. Make sure you have it done by an experienced 'smith.

I have Insite Heathen muzzle brakes on all my bolt guns and they are the way to go. Awesome performance. The new 4 and 5-port versions will be out soon as well and are said to be even better. I'm excited to get my hands on some.

I'm with the last two guys, spend the money and get a heathen. Installs in minutes and works phenomenally, you can buy their heathen hybrid now too which can change calibers.

I went to Colonel Mustard for mine.

I'll throw another vote in there for the MDT Elite Brake. Cheap, easy to install and works well, just be wary of the side concussion for shooters or spotters next to you lmao!

VG6 Lambda has a locking collar and is only put on hand tight. It tightens as you shoot. Absolutely amazing. Precision rifle that work on YouTube has a review.

Check out the Terminator T3, Terminator TT or the M4-72 Severe Duty.

I have the T3, CADEX and a Benchmark triple port. I'm looking into the M4-72 or the TT for my 6.5 CM build :)
