Need a new .22

I shoot at the Selkirk Game and Fish range, though I'd mentioned to a Firing Line member (CGN'r actually) that we should get a little group to go shoot there one day. I hear good things about the S&W 41.

The 41 is a little more acurate than my High Standard (in a rest and not much different). I like how the High Standard feels in my hand a little better. Both the High Standard and model 41 have better triggers than the Ruger.

If your at Selkirk Game and Fish then you don't have an indoor place to shoot? I was going to suggest you borrow the guns for a couple of weeks (with the proper paperwork). But if you don't have a warm place to shoot then maybe on a Monday or Thursday you can come out to the Winnipeg Revolver & Pistol club and I will bring them down for you to try.

The only problem with the Neos is the trigger are heavy striker pull. Easy to accidently hit the mag release & dropping your mag. The Mrs. Happiness gun is the Neos 7.5 DLX, very accurate and the grips comfortable

The Browning Buckmark Pro-target is very accurate. Excellent sights w/sight hoods, sweet trigger and nice full walnut grips with thumb rest. Add a little skate board tape to the front & back strap and it stick to your hand. I would highly recommend this gun. I don't like the matte black finish though. Prefer the nice blueing on the old Medalist. Now if you could find a nice Medalist!

Then again, that Kimber 1911 .22 looks sweet and has received excellent reviews.

Does anyone have tried the Colt .22 conversion ? Many people are talking about Kimber, CZ or Glock but nobody talks about the .22 conversion for Colt. I have seen a Colt Series 70 with a .22 conversion kit. Is it good or bad ? BTW, it is selling for 4-500. It looks like expensive to me.

I love my browning challenger II. Its the predecessor to the buckmark and is a little better made. There arent many used ones around though....probably because nobody wants to sell em!
