My Norinco is not grouping as well as it used to. have about 10,000 rounds through it, so can't complain.
It has a 14.5" barrel on it. I am giving serious thought to installing a heavy profile 10.5" barrel.
This is a pure CQB rifle. I have other AR-15s with longer barrels for longer range shooting.
I am thinking a heavy 10.5" is similar in weight to a 14.5". For CQB a little extra weight might make it a bit more stable, since most shooting is off-hand.
I have another 10.5" AR with a linear comp and I like the reduced muzzle blast.
I realise it might take some tweaking to get it to work reliably. That is part of the fun. And I have other ARs, so there is no risk to the down time.
What am I missing?
