wasn't sure where to post this...

I sold my P220 and forgot to include the keys to the cable lock; I never used them and probably just assumed they were in the package with the lock....

Can anyone snap a pic of the keys so I know what I'm looking for? since obviously I won't be able to test them out and I don't want to mail the guy wrong set if keys... thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Sig keys have a 3 number code on them.

Better yet, why not just take all of your keys off of the keychain and match them up with what you know you have. The single one out is your mystery key.

Excuse me but, why did you send the gun locked in the first time? All the restricted i have bought was shipped by the dealers unlocked. I know it will not help you but, i just want to know.

He did it that way because that is what Canada Post tells you you must do if you want to ship a firearm with them.......

The Firearms Act tells us we don't need to as Canada Post is considered a Legal Fireams shipper, and your firearm is considered "safely stored" while it is in their possession.

Canada Post tells us they will not ship firearms unless they are unloaded and locked, They also tell us they will not handle Ammunition, Powder or Pimers..... as they are regulated under the explosives act, ergo they are explosives and they do not ship explosives.....

I got all of this info from another post here on CGN... someone was nice enough to post links to all of this info....... I don't remeber where it is or I would do the same.......

Cheers

Ok then, tell my why big dealers that sells hundreds if not thousands of pistols a year, don't know that? Perfect exemple: Can Am. How many of you guys receive their 99$ pistols locked? Again i don't want to argue (even if it look like) i just want to understand why people do thing like that. I mean, you ship the gun in a box, right? The gun is locked, but the box isn't, so you're not in respect of either the storage or transport regulation anyway.

I don't think that he ACTUALLY locked the pistol in the case for shipping. He merely stated that he INCLUDED it without the key.

I dunno Faqmat...

Maybe it is because:

how do you send the key/ what do you do with the key

CP can't ask you "whats in the box"

Whats the worst that can happen..... After all they can't refuse to let you mail stuff anymore.... and the letter of the law states you don't have to lock it to mail it..... its just canada posts guidlines that state you must lock it.

Maybe ask a dealer......

Correct! I didn't lock the gun..just forgot to make sure the key to the lock was there...
