Need a tailor for Camo

My wife, bless her heart, has decided that she likes hunting and really wants to come out and get a deer with me this year. So off we went and got her fully kitted up, rifle, binos, the right loads and everything. Now we got her some camouflage, but the problem is that its a mens small, and the neck and chest cuts are completely wrong for her. Its all Gortex and we don't want to ruin its waterproofing with going to a hack tailor.

So the Question is; Where can we find a good technical tailor that would be able to work with this material?

A smaller question is why don't outfitters make decent women's camouflage?

We are in Victoria, but don't mind traveling the island to get a good fitting done.

Its the ancient law of supply and demand, the demand is so low that there is no competition for the supply

Try on line like Cabellas or Bass Pro shops, I have had a lot of luck with BP but then I am a giant man not a petite woman
 
Presumably you need to let the chest out a bit, because no matter how much a man puffs up to strut, getting a 40" chest on a small man takes effort so considering the facts from Captain Obvious, :confused: you are looking to take in the neck but add material beneath the armpits? It might be a start to call a couple tailors/seamstress' and find out if they can get camo Gortex first. If they can get the fabric, I can't see how it would be difficult for a skilled tailor to work with it: It would prove far easier to work with than silk or wool. Usually someone who has been around for years, wouldn't be around if they were lousy.

You shouldn't have to look far: Congrats with the wife! I go deer hunting and all I ever get is cold and deer.
 
You can buy all sort of camo, except ... Bow Hangers :runaway:

under armour , she safari , cabelas and bass pro brands google search it theirs lots in the states , if you want your wife or girlfriend to enjoy herself afield with you spend the extra coin on her and on proper fitting clothes shell love yea for it

Camo is way over rated and really just a sales pitch for the fashion conscious.

Any earth tone clothing from a good outdoor wear manufacturer will work.

Remember red checkered jackets and wool pants?

Worked fine until about 1980 then suddenly camo was required in the field. Realtree and Cabela's etc. have done a bang-up sales job.

^^ This. Deer are colour blind anyway.
