Need a Tula ammo review

Steel is steel .
If your range dose not allow steel core bullets & the RO pulls out a magnet & tests your ammo you are done.
Doesn't matter how soft or hard the steel is.

Um, I was replying to the supposed barrel wear issue - where I shoot RO's are a scarcely seen phenomenon, and rules against ammunition are virtually non-existant

I bought 1 box and shot 25 rounds of it without any issue in a norc 1911. Was a tad bit dirty but otherwise had a good kick and was accurate enough for me. And if you reload, they are boxer primed :) I've loaded the same 20 cases 5 times now.

Incase you missed it, there was not one bad review of tula ammo in this thread, so I would take the chance and buy the 308 ammo. I highly doubt you would have any issues selling it if it doesn't work good in your m305.

You reload steel cases? Thought that was a no-no?

My range stocks Tula ammo and it is range friendly, at least the 9mm that I bought was. Our range does not allow any steel core ammo on the indoor range, and they are lots of shooters using Tula which out any issues.

Says right on their website that its lead core:

The companies don't recommend it because of liability issues, but I do it just because I can and it works. I wouldn't go buy 1000 cases and use that all the time, it's just small batches just to see how many reloads I can get from it. The Cci aluminum stuff I find can be reloaded about 4 times before the primer pockets loosen up.

Since sunray constantly posts it can't be done and that they don't make berdan primers I find myself compelled to reload it more and more just to prove how wrong he is Lol.

Haven't tried the 308 but the 223 I have goes bang and is pretty accurate, good price as well as 10 dollar flat rate shipping. Local stores are $500+ for a case of anything brass cased and I do not reload....yet. I will be ordering more 223 for sure. As for the steel/lead debate they are lead core but bimetallic jacket so a magnet will stick to the jacket, I have tested it. If you go to a range where the RO will stick a magnet to it even though the box says lead core you will probably be SOL.

Its the steal core that damages the backstops in the range, as long as its lead core you should be fine, I never had any problem with Tula Ammo, perhaps your RO doesn't know the difference between steel jacket and steel core?
