I am new to red dots for pistols somfor those in the know what are some of the features to look for in a red dot that will hold up to being mounted on my Glock 35.

Also, what are some suggestions for what to buy that won't break the bank.

Thanks in advance for all the advice.

Milled slide or MOS, I like the Holosun 509t, they have a few new models. I like "closed emitters". Mounting plates, I think the CHPS plate is the best bang for the buck. YMMV

IMHO you cant go wrong with Holosun. The 507 series is excellent. The 508 has the same features as the 507 but its more durable as its made out of titanium. The 509 as Mildot indicated has an enclosed emitter. I have 3-507c series with two of them being the ACSS chevron style reticle.

If I "had" to try another MRDS, I would go with the Aimpoint ACRO P2, it deserves honorable mention, but I like the Holosun reticle and the $.

Here's a shameless Holosun plug, now whether you like this guys style or not, IMO "he calls them like he sees them". I've been shooting one on my PDP and G19X, over a thousand rds ea for sure and no issues, so far so good.
