Need Advice - G17 Gen4 Erratic Accuracy

I know for a fact that I'm terrible with my G22. I can shoot great groups all day with a CZ SP-01 Shadow but then I pick up my G22 and make a total mess of 2x2 target stands and the range. I know its me.. Glocks have a tricky trigger in experience. I haven't given up on it yet and want to spend more time working on it. I'd recommend the same.

Having trouble with Glocks is a special club, and I'm a charter member :)

I have shot many thousands of rounds through my Glock and use it in IPSC production and I still suck. I have been working on my trigger control and grip for some time now. I have improved a lot, but still have a long way to go. As was mentioned start with the target close to you and gradually move farther as your grouping improves.

Some great advice here, thanks to everyone who responded.

I'm going to get out next week, hopefully with a guy I know who is a very experienced shooter, to do some more testing. I'll keep everyone posted on what we come up with (fingers crossed that its operator error!)

If you stop cleaning your Glock it will run much more effectively lol. I swear the cleaning and lubrication makes it run worse. Lead ammo is horrible for them though, always use jacketed ammo.

I have experienced the same problem but it was much more embarrassing. I went through 2 and a half mags trying to take down 5 steel plates at an IPSC club night!!! They were maybe 10 yds away. One guy say's "Ive shot IDPA with this guy numerous times. He usually shoots pretty good,,something wrong with the gun?,,,sights out?" So we put 5 steel plates down and one of the other shooters took them out with 5 rds at the same distance. It was all me.

How often and how many rounds are you shooting? This sport needs consistency. Shoot the same damn gun as much as you can. 3-4 times a month i find is the bare minimum to stay sharp and somewhat competitive. I find switching back and forth with different guns hurts you as well. Don't get me wrong I love bringing 3 guns with me to the range and blasting them all off. But to stay at the top of your game you have to mainly shoot one platform consistently. That's just me anyways.
