Need advice on choosing a barrel

For a 16 inch bbl, I would go with the 13.5 or 15 inch NSR., Hurry !!! You still have time to change the forearm LOL,
My 14.5 upper and 13.5 NSR.
Same here 13.5" NSR on a 14.5" Afghan.
I would go with the 15" NSR on a 16" barrel.
I ordered a 16.7" NSR for my 18" barrel.

Got a package in the mail today, my Noveske 16" barrel and 11 " NSR rail from Armtac. Install was easy except for the gas block pin, that was a ##### to get in.

looking good, When the NSR first came out in the market the keymod design was sort of a downer. You need to see it in person and handle to appreciate. nice rail

ATRS has a stellar reputation for barrels. This is CGN after all if there was anything to complain about you would have heard it.

How is the medium contour profile? Worth the investment as a good balance between mobility (re: weight) and accuracy?

It's really well balanced even with the medium barrel, the light weight of the NSR rail helps alot. I put on a scale and the rifle weighs 5lbs 15oz, without a muzzle device.

interesting! i want a barrel that is as accurate as can be, without being a bench only rifle. I view bull barrels as being a bench-rest only type of barrel. Is medium the way to go then, or is there a better contour to go for?

Good looking build, i just installed my 12.5" noveske and had the same issue with the gas block pin!! Got it in, and I can guarantee that it is not going anywhere on its own!!! very overkill setup....just the way i like it!

Enjoy your rifle you can do anything with that length and barrel choice.

That looks great. I'm currently looking for a 10.3/10.5" and 16" barrels with pinned gas blocks. I'm really leaning towards the DD CHF barrels with either the low profile gas block or the A2 front sight gas block (which I'll cut down like my other one) but those in-particular seem to be like trying to find a unicorn. I like the Noveske barrels but damn are they expensive and I don't think I need that nice of a barrel for just shooting bulk 55gr ammo.
