hey just new to the sport of tri gun and am looking for the right pistol. I have narrowed it down to two I think. it the CZ shadow or the magnum research baby eagle would like to hear what some other people think. and even if there is some other recommendations. thanks

Similar guns though I wouldn't want a gun named a baby anything...but Shadow?... 
I have shot both and personally liked the Shadow better. Both were nice shooters but I didn't like the location of the safety on the slide of the baby and the Shadow was more badass

The Baby Eagle/Jericho was on my short list for my first handgun. It's actually a great gun which shot for me at the time as well as the CZ and better than some others.
The problem is finding fitted holsters for it and mags. By "fitted" I mean the plastic types that are so often used in IPSC and other events that are gun model specific. If you're OK with the low leg holster made from Cordura or other "soft" holster than no problem.
Extra mags may also be an issue. I know that the CZ mags fit and one gun's mags work in the other but not the other way around. It's possible that CZ mags will work in the BE with a small mod. Certainly CZ mags do fit in the BE magwell and drop clear when released but I don't remember if they chamber and shoot reliably or if the catch seats correctly.
So look into this whole accessory issue as part of the choice.

If your going to compete get the CZ, many, many more holster options compared to the Jericho 941 (Baby Eagles are no longer imported into Canada). Personally I find the Jericho feels better in my hand than the CZ and it's more accurate and yes I own 2 Jericho's. Finding mags for a Jericho are not a problem as they use CZ/Tanfolgio (sp) mags.

Baby Eagle is very reliable. Polygonal rifling - some say not lead bullet friendly. If you want to tinker then the CZ has more options for the Prod-open IPSC shooter.
The finish on the BE is more delicate. I think the BE I'd better looking.
Have shot one for IPSC for a couple years and love it. Not much for following the crowd.

Baby Eagles are still imported into Canada, just not with the Magnum Research label. IWI directly imports them now, and they are available in a range kit with a fobus holster, mag holster, 3 mags, etc in both the poly frame and the steel frame. Its a great deal for between $650-700.
And if you live in B.C its even better cause the warranty depot is in Victoria!

Also into tri gun in P.A and just bought a cz85 combat 9mm. I havent got it yet.."probibly tuesday" . I will take it to the north range and start practicing. You are welcome to PM me, and you can try it out for your self and see what you think. I have only 2 mags for it and am looking for at least 1 more. I watched the "good' shooters at the last tri-gun, and cz seemed to do well.
It should certainly work better than the gun I'm using now.....look at my avitar LOL. 8 shot wheel gun.

The Jericho is on my short list for my next pistol so I inquired who and where the warranty center was...and was very pleasantly surprised to here M. Charelton eterprises.

The two guns are extremely similar. Unless you can physically pick both up to inspect them, then your choice basically boils down to spare parts, accessories, and slide-mounted safety vs frame-mounted safety. I love the Jericho and would shoot it all day in competition if I could find one with a frame-mounted safety, but as they are I avoid them because I switch the safety when racking the slide inadvertently. This leads to all kinds of fumbling I don't want.
If you don't see this being an issue, then it comes down to looks, and I think the Jericho looks way better than the SP-01 CZs, but the classic 75B trumps 'em all.
