Hello all !

I just ran across this gun:
Para Ordnance 16-40 Limited (Carbon steel that has been hard chromed, NOT stainless steel), it is in 40 S&W

I do not know much about Para-Ordinance. Is this gun any good ? What does it cost in VG condition ? (Gun has about 5K rounds through).
Why would someone hard chrome the carbon steel gun? This puzzles me a bit.

Thanks for your input.
Igor.

You can't go wrong with a LTD P16. Accurate, reliable, Major PF and :canadaFlag:, it's good to go.

Hard chrome resists rust and corrosion very well and it resists wear better than any other finish. It's surface hardness means parts wear less and last longer. Some people like shiny pistols.

OK, FWIW, 5k on an IPSC gun doesn't mean it's worn out. However, I'd be hard pressed to offer more than half of retail.
