need advice. worth of a rifle?

I came across a possible deal. I have to decide by tomorrow or it goes to another buyer. I know the info is vague it.s all i have at the moment. Please dont hate. Im not familiar with this type of rifles. It.s a sportco with heavy barrel. Custom wood stock. 308. Single shot. It has some fancy iron sights with all kinds of adjustments. Supposed to shoot at 1000yards. The thing is in mint condition. The price is 350$ . Sorry don.t have pictures. I know it.s ####ty info but im trying for last minute info.

The main problem with Sportco's is that they have weak primary extraction. Sportco's were the target rifle used by the Cadet Marksmanship program for years until they move to RPA's in the late 90's or early 2000's (can't remember the year exactly)
With the iron sights you will be able to shoot out to 1000 yards and for $350 it isn't a bad deal at all.
 
Agree with maynard. They are a fantastic starter platform at $350, and as long as the barrel is in good condition, I would call it a very good deal. You will be able to recover every penny you spend on it if you reach a point where you want to sell it.
 
The bore looks brand new. The only problem is im left handed. Im going to have to mod the stock a bit. There is a sharp corner right in my cheekbone when i aim. I am going to buy it tomorrow.

The barrel is really fat on it..
 
Try to find a spare stock online someplace before hacking away at the one that it comes in. Stocks are not subject to ITAR restrictions, and can be brought up from the states (at time of writing, AFAIK)- and I would imagine that there's a lefty Sportco stock out there for a similarly good deal what will fit you better than butchering the one that comes with. Then when you're all said and done and ready to buy that PGW to 'step-up', you've got an 'ambidextrous-combo' rifle to sell.
 
Not any good on what a gun is worth. I still am like the guy that has the nightmare that he died and his wife sold all his guns for what he TOLD her they where worth.
