I have been reloading for my 22-250. I have switched from IMR4895 to Win 760 which is so much nicer to meter.
I inherited my Dad`s Remington 760 30/06 and would like to start reloading for it as well. Has anyone had success with Win 760?
I have read that most guys like the H4350, I`m unsure if this is ball powder. Thanks,Darcy

W760 is indeed a Ball powder.

I don't load for .22-250, but there are lots of published load data using W760 in that cartridge.
Looks to be a good choice developing velocities similar to those for H4895.

Ditto on W760 for .30-06. H4350 is a bit better choice when using heavy projectiles, esp 220g.

My only caution is that the Ball powders are a bit fussier on pressure vs ambient temperature compared to single-base extruded.
Work up your max loads on the hottest days and you'll be fine.

When I'm developing max loads on colder days I use body heat to keep the cartridges at warm temps.

Thanks. My Dad said he always like the 180gr so I will stick to that. I have a couple 22-250 recipes using the Win 760 and IMR 4895. The 4895 is cylindrical and hard to meter since it jams up in my powder measurer....thus the reason I changed to a ball powder. I was curious if the H4350 was a ball powder?

I'd advise you to go buy at least 2 current reloading manuals, and read the front couple chapters a few times.
Then go to the loading data for the cartridge in question.

H4350 is an extruded powder. It may be a fine-grained extruded powder, which would meter better than
other longer-grained extruded powders.
