Hello I am looking to buy a ar15 and since I got a good load of 55gr norinco ammo I was wondering what would you recomend me?

I like the look of the Daniel denfence ar, 10 inch barrel, aluminium rail handguard, but I need it to work with my 55 gr. ammo.

Theoretically the 55gr bullets are best stabilized in a 12-15" twist rate. However, 1:7 has been proven to time and again to work good enough for most people, so whatever floats you boat man..

A twist rate of 1:8 would be fine for 55gr. I have a 16" barrel with a twist rate of 1:9 and it stabilizes 55gr ammunition just fine.

I found a dd m4 16" but its 1/7 twist. It would probably be not good with the 55gr.?

It's not ideal for 55gr, but considering you have cheap bulk norinco stuff, it doesn't really matter. You're going to get around 2MOA which is definitely acceptable for that sort of rifle/ammo combination.

He obviously wants a DD. I don't know why he is bothering asking.
You want real accuracy there, buds? Get a bolt gun and handload.
Just for :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug:s and giggles, with 62gr FMJ handloads, a stock Bushmaster (chases children. MUST be locked down at all times) HB 1:9 twist 16" Vortex PST 1-4 @ 100m I regularly get 1- 1.5" 5rnd groups.
Just buy your goddamn DD and be done with it. Move on. You bother me, son.
