Hello everyone,

I want to reach out to the community for some advise on what is the best compensator I could buy to reduce recoil/ barrel rise without reducing accuracy?

I am looking to replace the flash hider on my Type 97 5.56mm. I have been looking at the PWS FSC566... But want to know if I should consider other options.

secondary to this question... Does anyone know where I could get my barrel threaded in or near the Kitchener Ontario area, as the barrel is not threaded.

I appreciate any help you can provide!

Lol best compensator.. That's like asking what's the best rifle. You gotta consider size, weight, sound signature (how loud does it get), visual signature (how big's the fireball), whether it will affect your division classification if you're shooting matches with it... I decided to go small on my AR and got one of these: http://www.miculek.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=25&zenid=c8kgg5khss081slnh3971gf855 Shipped quickly and reasonably cheap, well reviewed all over the world. Haven't tested it yet, probably will tonight.

I would like something small with some muzzle flash reducing characteristics. Weight and sound don't bother me too much (T97 is already very well balanced and I double up on ear defenders...

I'm asking the community what THEY feel will/ has worked best for them. Then I can make a more informed decision.

I appreciate your response and it will be one to consider.

The T97 has very little muzzle rise to start with, are you sure you need a comp? I find it to be very pleasant to shoot and wouldn't add a comp. If I where to change it it would be to either an A2 (shorter and good flash suppression and some comp) or a vortex (better flash suppression).
