Hi

I'm looking for advices about a mil-spec lower receiver.

I had a NEA but it was a crappy piece of ####.: out of size, unburred holes ,uneven coating etc. etc. etc.

So I want a replacement.

Not the cheapest one but not the most expensive either.

I was thinking about a Diemaco does it worth the price?
Or should I look for something else?

Where to get it?

Any advices welcome

Thanks

Larry

NEA billet lowers have been awesome for me, at least they function really well.

The bolts seem to have very weak ejector springs that really need an upgrade, but that is a few bucks.

Uppers are not the most accurate out of the box though. probably 2.5 moa consistent at least out of the 10.5 and 14.5 I had.

Looks like NEA lived up to its name for you. Never Ever Again.

I tell most guys asking this, a lower is a lower is a lower when you're looking for your basic run of the mill lower.
If brand name or roll marks are irrelevant to you, go with Aero Precision. 100 bucks gets you a solid lower, I haven't used one myself but I've yet to read a bad thing about them.

The Colt Canada/Diemaco lowers are fine but unless it's what you really want, no they're not worth the added cost if you just want a lower. I have a Colt Canada, Colt USA, spikes tactical, noveske and Bcm lowers and they've all been exceptional, especially in the compatibility department.
But again, if I was to recommend one if all you want is a no frills basic lower, Aero precison 100%.

Aero is 100% good to go, unless you really need your lower to say (insert brand name here) aero is the way to go.

can you say the same for aero uppers? i have a lower almost complete and now looking to start the upper

I did a homebuild with an Aero upper and lower receiver plus barrel. The fit and finish is excellent, esp. considering the very reasonable price. I also had a completely satisfactory experience building on an Anderson Manufacturing lower, FWIW.

Ditto. My ONLY complaint is the finish doesn't match my upper. But two different companies will have different opinions of what is black.

No, every single part from the same company could have different shades of finish. Each batch of parts that is sent for anodizing to a company might have different shades or colours depending on a lot of different factors. I have uppers and lowers from a lot of different companies and none of them match.
