Hey,

I ordered a Norinco 1911 .45 "Sport Model" from marstar, and now im trying to order a custom grip for it.

http://www.marstar.ca/gf-norinco/1911A1-Sport-B.shtm

Also, does anyone know if these grips fit Norincos? http://www.alumagrips.com/main.taf?p=2,1,3,4,3

But there is 4 options for grip/frame size, and im not sure which one is right. Here are the 4 options:

Full size frame
Full size Ambi frame
Full size magwell frame
Full size ambi magwell frame

EDIT: Ok....I got an email from the people who make the grips. Can someone please check this for me, as I still dont have my Norinco (been shipped)

"The distance between the center of the mounting screws for the full size frame is 3.075", for the compact/officers/EMP size frame it is 2.671" and for the Combat Master/STI Rogue it is 2.289".."

Will it fit the Norinco 1911 .45 "Sport Model" which is the "Police model"

Thanks!

Thanks

If in fact yours has the ambi safety, then u are looking at a full size ambi ..
If no ambi safety, standard full size 1911 frame

Hey Kastro,

I am glad to see you went with the A1 and not the police nickle finish. You will be way happier with that in hte long run. It works well better on the Zombies too! Just ask Chuck Norris bud.

Norcs all have the full size frame - if yours has an ambi safety, the grip maker needs to cut the right side grip panel so that it will operate. If you had an aftermarket magwell on it, the grip maker would need to cut the bottom of the grips, because the well would have a slight ledge. All 1911 full sized frames are (supposed to be, and the Norcs are) built to the same spec especially as far as grip panels go. I have a set of Kim Ahrends on my Norc and they fit perfectly, because they're standard. Note - when you're putting your new grips on DON'T overtighten the grip screws, that just wrecks your grips. The screws need to be snug, they don't need to be torqued to 200 ft/lbs.

Last time I will tell u..Full Size Ambif:P:...Aww never mind..Just wait til it arrives and find out for yourself....
