Need drop in railed handguard for C7

Buddy asked me for a top rail to send to him in A'stan. Figure I'll just send him a railed hand guard. What are my options for a drop in style that he can be install in the field? Also, where to buy? I see OST is out of stock, who else carries these?

I'm well aware this has been discussed, but I'm lazy and you all owe me.


Oh, and I'm also going to send him a custom forward grip shaped like a #####. :evil:

when i was over they just issued us top rails what unit is he with?
i now some units are pretty tight with some kit.
and it sucks having the pac or peq on the tri mount!

the type that screw on to his issued hand guard will probably be best as certain units are super sticky on non issued kit....
at least if its just a rail he might be able to get away with it more.

both times i was over it was my units biggest gripe ..... use the issued crap or the stuff that works best for u .. but the cf has to make it for everyone so they are trying to find a happy middle.. that will never work for soldiers :p
 
Oneshottactical has the Troys, and I think they have KAC, too, if your buddy has $$ to burn.

Duh, I'm an idiot and reread your first post... OST = One shot tactical....

For a CF gun I would go with either our (KAC M5) RAS, or the DD 12.0 Omega.

Ours has a NSN and has been issued to some segments of the CF (and others have bought, traded, stole etc for them), but the DD is a drop in Freefloat continous top rail system, which pretty much is the way to go.

More importantly unlike 95% of the rails out there, both KAC and DD rails are built for combat weapons.
