Canuck, for BP reloading there is no recipe, you drop as much powder either with a drop tube or compress the powder until the level is right up to the bottom of the seated bullet, leaving no airspace. If you want a lighter load, use a wad or two to make up for the reduced amount of powder. This charge will differ with every change in bullet or seating depth, and of course case brand as Winchester has more internal cap. then R-P. 3F is okay to try but may produce a harder fouling, and don't forget to use soft 30-1 bullets and Black Powder lube on them. BP loading is diff. then smokeless, it needs diff. bullets, technique and some of this is safety related as airspace in the loaded round is not good, as an example. I wouldn't listen to folks who don't reload BP on this stuff, or people at the Button Hut.
