I had similar results with my groups. I couldn't solve it until I started hand loading. Now my Tikka T3 Lite .223 & my Rem 700 5R .308 achive .5"-.75" groups at 100 yards.

For .223, I use H322 powder at 22.5 gn with a Hornady V-MAX 55 gn bullet
For .308 I use Varget powder at 44.4 gn with a Sierra Match King HP 155 gn Palma

You will discover insanity if you keep trying to get this type of result with factory ammo...

Take no offense, but is it the rifle shooting poorly or the shooter. Also have you done any accurizing to your rifles or glass/pillar bedding, trigger etc?

All my .308's love Varget and IMR 4064
My .223 is going through OCW testing between three different bullets and five different powders.

Umattok, what are you trying to accomplish?
Are looking for a hunting performance for a given game animal or are you trying to fill the NBLon paper targets?
Game of choice and expectations are what is also needed for someone to offer advice.

In my .223 1-9 twist bolt gun, Varget near max published for 69 gr SMK and 75 gr Hornady BTHP and .015" jump shoots well to 400 yds +

I would advise to work up carefully watching for any stop signs, but it shoots well in mine.

"...Need good loads..." You have to work up the load for each rifle. No two will shoot the same ammo the same way, so a load that shoots well out of my rifle won't necessarily do so out of yours.
I'd suggest you work on one rifle at a time. Start with the powder used for accruracy load.

Took a long time to reply but found a load good during the summer.
44.1 varget with a 168 smk

Forgot to mention this was a 3 shot group at 100 yards with my 308

I had advice but didn't read the last page.... Nice group.

I have the best luck at the moment with 44gr and 168gr, mind you at that time I was using a garbage scale and a rifle stock which is known to effect accuracy.
