Need help choosing a new single stage press

My lee press Is tired and I want a upgrade I already have a progressive so I want a good one for my load development and hunting rifle loads was thing rcbs or redding maybe hornady
 
Any of the ones you mentioned will work great, there isn't much to mess up on a single stage press accept for metal selection.

If your after a really beefy press for bit cal's or sagging look at the lee classic cast. It's one of the toughest non custom presses you can get.

If your after precision check out the forester co-ax press.
 
Keep in mind what the longest case You might reload and make sure it will fit in whatever one You want. my top choices are Redding and forster. Hornady LnL setup is nice for changing al the time but it always has a little bit of play that is hard to get rid of so it isn't my favorite. But there all pretty good really my Redding has been amazing. I think I would buy a Redding T7 turret instead or a regular single stage now though.
 
Have been looking at the redding but debating the t7 turret or a single stage or possibly the co ax forester but I already have she'll holders for all my calibers
So me thinks it's a choice of the redding line any input from users especially the turret press
 
I have the Redding Big boss 2 and a friend has the T7 turret both are great presses but I like the convenience of the turret more then a regular single stage and I have not noticed a difference in precision between the 2. Biggest difference is cost.
 
The Hornady with it's bayonet bushings is sort of a middle ground between a multi position turret press and a screw in single stage. For me it makes me smile when I use it.

I've had screw in singles and I still have a cast iron 6 position turret Lyman. But for the flexibility, repeatability and ease of changing dies the Hornady is the keeper that I'll have after the others are gone.
 
my lyman T mag is up for sale now that I stole it's spot for a RCBS summit, check out the new offering from RCBS, no more slouching over to get the handle all the way down to the floor when sitting in a chair at the press.......it may be the first of 2 of them.......
 
Geez... that RCBS Summit sure looks nice. I like the fully open front.

The swing of the handle isn't a big deal. I always alter the mounting height of any press to where the swing of any arm is a comfortable one.

go for it............I was on the fence for over a year......so glad I finally fell over backwards and jumped on it
 
I just picked up a new press. It was a tossup between the Forster Co-ax, Rockchucker and Big Boss II.

I ended up with a Rockchucker because of availability but the Big Boss II would have been my first choice mostly because of used primer management. I ruled out the Co-ax only because I was concerned about the different geometry of the arm. I've made so much ammo on my Dillon that I figured there was something to be said for familiarity.

I would suggest getting the Hornady lock n load conversion if you get a Rockchucker. I'm finding it to be a slick combination.

Honestly I think a lot of your decision is going to come down to personal preference. I think they'll all made good ammo.
