Need Help Choosing a Scope and Rings for my CZ457 Lux

I really appreciated all the advice. I ended up going with a Vortex Crossfire II 4-12 x 40 AO for $190 on sale from theshootingcenter.com and warne medium rings. I haven't shot it with the scope yet but I mounted it and will report back with my opinion on it for what thats worth haha.

This is my first gun so I realised I should probably buy some other stuff for it so I bought a Wheeler torque driver and Tipton gun butler gun vice on sale, not sure if they were necessary but I'm a sucker for a sale. I also got ballistol Gunex Special Gun Oil, some cleaning patches and an adapter for a cleaning rod because I hear with the cz457 chamber works better with a .17 cal carbon rod? Seems like there a lots of opinions on gun cleaning, do you get a carbon rod or a pull through kit, do you shoot copper jacketed or lead and if so different cleaning solutions/ techniques, do you use a bore guide, jag or brass/bronze/nylon brush, clean often or barely at all, chamber brush? I've held off cleaning for now as I haven't decided on the method and I've only put about 500 rounds through it.

Fantastic scope for air rifles or rim fire rifles.

On my 455 I went with an MDT 40 MOA rail, a 6-24 X 50 RITON 1" scope, weaver low rings. This will put you a bit over budget, but you get a solid set up; clear, bright glass; Zero stop and repeatable zero. IMG_1646.jpg

On my 452 lux I use 2 scopes, a Japanese Tasco 2-7 for gophers etc, and a 6-24 for the range brand testing. Higher power is great for targets at 100. 6 is a little hard for gophers in close. Used scope can be a good buy.
