need help choosing input requested

New guy, previous shooter 20 years ago, looking to buy revolver or glock 17. Have had lots of help and input but now need technical help with my choice. Wish to be able to custom or modify to meet growing needs. Best bang for my buck. Really appreciate anyones help, my $$$ budget for pistol 1300

Not a whole heck of a lot of mods for Glocks as far as I know. If you want to customize, I think a revolver is the way to go. A S&W 686 would probably be a good bet, lots of people customize them for PPC and what not.

Are you sure you are set on one of those, could you be talked into a 1911 ?

Endless mods for these guns.

theres lots to be said for the smooth trigger on a fixed 1911... but for out of the box ..I would look at HK, Sig or Glock.. but dont expect much adjustability...
