Need help deciding on .22lr bolt action

So I thought that it'd be a fun idea to get into the rimfire game, and I'm having some trouble deciding on a bolt action that will serve me best.

I'm looking to keep it under $700 for the rifle itself. My main priorities would be accuracy and reliability; weight is not a factor at all. I'll be putting a scope on it and using it for target shooting at a maximum distance of 200 yards, but I might get into small game hunting with a .22 in a couple of years so I'd need it to be a well-built, long lasting rifle.
I've heard fantastic things about the CZ 455 but I was not able to locate a single store that has the American or Varmint models in stock currently. I also took a look at the Savage MK II BTVS but there's lots of complaints about the trigger, and I found that people generally claim that the CZ is more accurate out of the box.

Besides those two rifles, I have not heard any other recommendations to date. I hope you more experienced folks could chime in on what you think would best suit my purposes, and maybe recommend some other rifles to check out. :D
Also, if you could point me to a shop that carries the rifle that'd be appreciated :)
 
Everyone will say CZ. I havent shot one so I wont BS you.
However my first 22 I bought was a Savage BTBS. I liked the feel, weight and SS barrel. Only later did I find out what a fantastic gun it is.

Also of you youtube the BTVS there is guys shooting 400+ yards.
Again I wont BS you, most CZ are great but it seems the savages are 50/50.
I did the trigger mod from rimfirecentral. Its simple and improves the trigger alot.

In that budget, CZ is by far your best choice.

And yes, everyone will say CZ :)

Edit: Among my group of CZs I also own a savage hvy bbl in 17hmr that is a lazer beam but pales in fit, finish to the CZs. I do like the accutrigger tho.

CZ 452, plenty of them, many almost new, or new, on the EE....

I love my 452 American, and the Lux too...a Varmint will be coming soon as well.

Ruger 77/22....I don't have one, but I want one. It might not shoot quite as well as the CZ out of the box, but it is a beautiful, full sized rifle. They arn't cheap, even used they seem to bring more than CZ's!

I don't even know where to find a new 77/22? There are certainly none around here....

I used to own a Savage Mk II and a 93R17, I saved up my pennies and traded them in on a 455 American in 17hmr and a 452 Varmint in 22LR. There's definitely no comparison when it comes to fit and finish and generally the CZ's have a slight edge in the accuracy department, although individual Savage's may surprise you. In terms of bang for your buck its tough to beat the Savage. If I had $700 to play with I would get a CZ 455 FS and never regret it.
 
If you can find a T-Bolt, elder or current with a modified trigger, they will play right up there with the CZ's.
If your budget is around the $700 mark, skip the plastickie stocked chit.
Your budget will get you into a shooter that will last you and your next of kin's kin.
 
I sense a little sarcasm in the last post. Best bang for the buck, CZ hands down. Hard to beat once fitted with good glass. Have four, none disappoint.
 
If you can find a sako for 700 buy it otherwise cz. Savages can be more accurate but its hit and miss with them and the fit and finish is never as good neither is the resale value. I have owned everything from cheap 22's to expensive rare european target 22's. My daily shooter is a cz scout and will never be sold.
 
I'm a brand new shooter, also looking for a .22 bolt action. Have you checked out the Ruger American Rimfire? Pretty new offering from Ruger, looks good and has had some great reviews, not sure if anyone on here has any experience with them. It's on my short list anyways.
