Need help finalizing my decision on double barrel shotgun

Myself I like the side by Sides and yes the look cool.

Will be tough at the price range but if you have a choice reach for the one with Ejectors not just an Extractor.

Have Fun - K.

I have owned and do own guns with ejectors and never use the the ejectors except for a Citori I use for informal 5 stand. In the field one has to cover the chambers with their hand to avoid letting the empties go flying onto the ground and having to go look for them. You DO pick up empties in the field, right?

Field guns choked IC/M with double triggers and extractors are about right. 28"bbl are ok for upland. Sometimes shorter bbls don't handle well and. I use 28s for grouse and woodcock in thickets with no problems. The advantage of double triggers is the instant selection of bbls without fumbling for a bbl switch. They are easy to get used to and worth the effort. I wish my SKB had double triggers. If you buy a 12 bore be careful of the weight as some are heavy. The same an be said about a cheaper 20ga on a 12ga frame.

Go with a SxS for field gun. You're dog will think you are cool.

Since you are canvassing the internet to make big decisions, heres my two cents. I'd take a Baikal SxS before I would take one of those Spanish guns from Tradex. In fact, I already did - picked up a single trigger Baikal with choke tubes, in used excellent condition here on the EE for ~ 400$. You can get an older Baikal with two triggers and fixed chokes for ~ 250$ without too much searching.
