Hi Guys,
My grandfather recently passed away and he left me his Ithaca Model 37 deerslayer along with a second '' bird shot'' barrel. I noticed when changing barrels that the threads on the forend tube were broken off at the tip. this prevents me from screwing it in completely so that the groove is perfectly aligned and it doesn't cycle well.
I'm looking for the forend tube either new or used and I can't seem to find it. It's a 12 gauge 2 3/4'' model 37 Ithaca.
here is a picture of the part I'm looking for. Do any of you know where I could get this?

thanks a lot!
Pat

Try member "gunrunner100" on here.
Or Western Gun Parts.
They might be a bit particular with selling some things they
think are gunsmith install only related.
Good luck.

Google RON Sharpe Dunville Ont ? Sharpes guns .? Sorry about vague info but I lost his contact info . Ron is " the buck stops here " where Ithaca firearms are concerned . The 37's were notorious for getting even a couple of " thou" out of wack which causes extraction issues and numerous other ailments . Had the same thing w one " scrapped " it after I gave up w it hours on the bench , and sorry , sold her to a fellow only a month ago as he needed a stock and such .

Ithaca gun company is still out there... under new ownership yet again but they have all the parts available ... getting the parts into Canada might be an issue but that is where I would start
