Need help finding a scope

Just bought a Savage 10fcp HS precision. I'm very new to long range shooting and know nothing about scopes or how to set them up. Im looking to shoot 100-600 yards and I have a budget of $600-$800. Any recommendations on scope brands and models I should be looking at?? And I also want to educate myself on scopes, long range shooting and technique. Any good forums or article I could read up on??

For that price range you are in the Bushnell Tactical and Vortex Viper range of scopes.
 
In your budget I would take a real hard look at sightron. Talk to Jerry at mystic precision he uses and sells them.

Bushnell 4200 tactical 6-24 x 50

Has side focus, mil dot recticle and very nice target turrets
