What older rifle has the rabbit on it with a keyhole magazine? My wife's grandfather recently passed away and she can remember that .22 and would like one. Thanks in advance was it a lakefield or a cooey?
Cheers
Geoff
If it's a single shot it would be a Cooey 750... I have on in my safe. They also made a repeater with a rabbit on the grip, but I can't recall the model number.
Too early in the morning... didn't catch the bit about the keyhole magazine.
Keyhole shaped magazine well is Cooey 64B, or later. Could be an earlier 64/64A that has been converted to use metal magazines. Rabbit stock is is def. Cooey too.
Funny, the first one that came to mind for me was the Browning SA-22 (with kind of a keyhole opening in the stock for loading) - many of these had a bunny engraved on the receiver...
Thanks guys it is a repeater and the pic with the rabbit that's the rabbit but semi auto she says so I'm going to find her one now. She wants to shoot gophers with me and the kids.
