I bought a No4MK1 today and can't find the manufacturer of it for the cfc file.
It has No4MK1 stamped in small letters in the usual spot on the receiver side and it has the usual England stamp on the receiver too.The year 1942 has the letter B stamped over it on the wrist and the serial number is B O4XX. On the knox form part of the receiver is GR under a crown with the letter P under it. Right beside it is another crown with the letter P stamped inside of it. The wood is stamped with the letter P just above the No4MK1 stamp on the receiver.
The battle sight is the milled version. I was going to take it apart but the leather "gasket" is still over the bolt head that holds the buttstock on.
I have had lots of Enfields but this one is baffling me....
Thanks in advance
