Hi
I have a chance to buy a Glock 22 which you all know is a 40s&w I am wondering if somebody out there can tell me by the serial number what generation it is? The ser. number is NBB4XX Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Thanks Graydog

I don't believe there is any official info published by Glock, but there is the Glock Serial Number Research Project over at Glocktalk.com. Owners of Glock pistols look for the date marked on their factory paperwork and submit it as evidence of when certain serial number ranges left the factory, then forward that to members of that website to compile. According to them, NBB series pistols are Glock Mod 22 RTFs made in March of 2009.

Glock 22 RTF GEn3.

They are the most economical Glocks on the market at the moment and can be had brand new from a dealer for around $599 with 2 mags. (much less if you qualify for police ordnance LEO)
