so im interested in getting started in shooting while moving, around obstacles, long range, cqb courses, etc... the only problem is that im a minor, and will be for a couple of years, is there any courses that would focus on the non-restricted side of things? or would i even be aloud to go if my dad werent there with me? (hes a gun guy to, here on cgn) preferably in the edmonton area or in the rest of Alberta? im aware that i would only be able to shoot the non-restricted's i have(around people over 18 with their license),
is there any courses i could go without my dad if he were to agree? if so what ones?

incase your wondering i have a recently purchased tavor and have an ampoint m4 on it, also i have enough p mags for now, and for the long range courses i have a savage 10 with a nightforce nxs on it, ill probably be investing in a chest rig sometime in the near future, and if theres any otherr gear i would need let me know!

i think i have the right guns for them, its just a matter if i can go while being under 18? thanks in advance!!

Legally speaking, you can certainly use restricted firearms while under the direction of any RPAL holder.

Wild Rose Action Shooters (WRAS) and the Canadian Historical Arms Society (CHAS) offer matches in Spruce Grove and Genesee, respectively. I would contact them directly if you want specifics.

The next WRAS match is on May 17, at Spruce Grove.

WRAS / CHAS members and organizers will likely respond to this thread as well.

ok, thanks!!! i will look into it, ive heard of chas before and emailed them with a couple questions but never got a response, probably just an error in the email adress or something, ill forsure look into the wras aswell.
