Your right, Spock didn’t, likely a importer did. Just because someone can shoot doesn’t mean they can’t lie. Did you ever question if he claims to have brought one sniper back, where he got the second one? Clearly he already had a source so if he acquired two from that same source it wouldn’t be so insane would it?

I met one guy in the Army who got a leg injury on his Soldier Qualification. He got returned to unit and was telling all the civvies in my hometown how he got his leg injured by having a giant paintball shot from a Leopard II instead of the tripping and falling he actually did. Some people lie to try and talk up their claims for whatever reason.
