I acquired this (plastic/phenolic) butt stock.

I'm quite sure it is for some sort of fairly early Stevens Savage firearm.

It certainly is "not" for the early model 24 O/U Stevens/Savage that came with the same style plastic/phenolic butt stock but it is very, very similar including the threaded hole for the plug to access removal. I compared the two butts side by side so thats why I know for sure it's not for the early model 24 O/U.

There was a fairly long screw rattling around in the butt which you can see in the full length picture.

Thanks for looking.

That's what I thought, and it is a 124C. If I remember correctly, doubtful, I had a lot of fun in the 70s and 80s, the butt stocks were the same as the pump action models .
That was my thought. Stevens had a great time making stocks from the stuff. Tenite I think they called it. Ahead of their time.

I've got a Model 24 that has a Tenite stock . The butt is pretty much gone though , I installed a walnut version . I'd love to put another Tenite stock on it , but they're pretty much unicorn poo these days .
