Need help in finding parts for antique gun!

I have an old gun, and I'm in the process of restoring it. It is Pattern A British P 1885 rifle. I recently found it from my grandpa's old garage. It is in very bad condition, and the rust got almost all of it. I got dome photographs of the original gun and confidence in the reconstruction of the wooden parts. But the working parts are mostly bad, and we need to forge some of the parts.
My wife suggested a metal forging company to forge the desired parts. But I think it will be costly. Are there any other options to restore the gun cheaply? Is casting a good option?

I would suggest that you look on the internet a bit.

There is a CGNer that goes by the handle GrantR that could likely help you out.

Most of the parts and pieces you will need are available, with some due diligence and internet searching.

That's the fun part of of doing a faithful restoration, doing the research, which in this case will take many hours and many sites.

That Pattern 1885, hopefully has some very deep attachment for you. You can easily purchase such a rifle, in original, useable condition for less money, time and effort than that wallhanger is going to cost you.

If it has a lot of sentimental value, clean it up and hang it up, where you can look at it and be reminded of your grandfather.

When gun shows open up again, bring the broken/worn out parts with you to see any gun parts dealers. It's a long shot, but fun to scrounge for parts, online is good too, but hard to match photos when not comparing in person.
