A friend past away this past week leaving behind some restricted firearms. His son doesn’t have a restricted license and asked if I would take them. I told him I would take them though I’d like to give him a fair value for them. I’m not sure what a fair price would be though...

What was left:
Browning challenger .22
Arminius hw38
Stevens and co. Single shot pistol, unknown caliber at this time.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Obviously condition and having magazines matters.

Challenger I’d be thinking $500 and adjust up or down for condition and how well trimmed out it is.

If the Arminius is a prohib, $100. If it’s rebarrelled or some one I’m not familiar with that has a restricted length barrel, I’d go $250.

The Stevens single could be worth anywhere from twenty bucks to 1k or more.

I haven’t seen them in person. A photo of each appears two are in fair condition. The single shot is quite worn with lots of patina. The challenger does have its mag. The .38 is a revolver (I’m told restricted not prohib) and the third is a single shot.

In doing some research and going off a single photo, I believe the details of the single shot are as follows;

Stevens No. 35 Pistol
Manufactured from 1907-16.
Manufacture: Stevens J Arms Co
Model: 35
BBL: 6 inch part octagon
Stock:
Gauge: 22
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut

While the Challenger is the most valuable of the lot, the Arminius doesn't add a lot to the bulk value. The Stevens is a novelty gun who's value is more south of us.
$500 is a fair price for both parties without seeing pics and assuming in good/very good condition.

I have a single photo of each firearm though I’m not sure how to post photos. I could text someone photos if they’d be willing to post for me?
The Arminius barrel looks to be at least 4.2-5.5” in my estimation.

Here they are, posted on behalf of Nashville. I had a similar Challenger I sold earlier this year for $350 I think. I might have been able to get a but more but there was not much interest. They're great pistols.

I guess everyone knows what a buckmark is but a challenger is less familiar.

If you think you’re likely to get $350 for the challenger you might only get $500 out of all three. I’d probably pay $300, by the time I sell, ship, package there isn’t much in the other two.

While the Challenger is a nice classic 22lr pistol, I don't think there is much of market for them. Years ago, I know people bought them to have spare magazines for their Medalist.
Most Medalist I've seen lately were listed at around the $500 mark.
$300-$350 for a Challenger is not out of line

The Stevens is not a 35, finish and grips are different, Not that it matters, years ago when I collected the things a good one was 300.oo , but not now Depends on how tight and the bore, Back sight don't look right. 150.oo maybe. They are a 22LR, as a rule, I have seen 25 cal as well.
The Arminius is still made, I sold a couple ,they are 6 in, retail 350.oo new ,I would say 200.oo fast sale.
Challenger are nice guns, hard sell these days . should be 300.oo if it has mag (s). Package deal, as others stated, I would be at 500.oo -550.oo.
$700.oo would be selling one at a time.
