Thanks for your replies guys. The seller turned out to be bogis anyway, but youve convinced me not to get a marlin. So the hunt continues.
I like the weatherby because it has a very strong action with its integral lug. Thats gotta count for something right????
The biggest cchallenge im facing is finding a gun I like in 7mm08. I am married to that caliber cause it performs well, easyish to find ammo and has less kick. I will also hunt with this rifle.
