Hi, I need help pricing this rifle before I put it up for sale.

It`s a U.S. made Mark V in .378 WBY. It has a beautiful walnut stock with an oil finish. It also has a accu-brake and a comes with Leupold bases. It has fired less than a box of ammo and is in immaculate condition. My friend purchased it along with a matching .460 in the late 90`s to go on an African hunt but the trip was cancelled at the last minute due to the outbreak of a civil war. As for the asking price, he`s unsure because he can`t find the exact model on the market. The new Dangerous Game model retails for $3400 but is synthetic and we can't seem to find this variation of the Mark V in Weatherby`s catalogue.

Any input would be appreciated.

Just based on my recollection of orig. price vs. current price, I'd say $2200.....but it does look like a beauty and $2500 wouldn't be out of line IMHO.

Your Rifle is a "Euromark" and this line has since been discontinued by Weatherby. I'd guess for about 3-4 yrs. now. They were priced the same as the Mark V "Deluxe" however
the .378,416,and 460 commanded a premium due to the factory installed Accubrake.
If memory serves, this gun sold new for around $2400 ($2200 for the less "punishing calibers). Anyhow I think a value in the $2000 +/- range is appropriate.Guns in calibers such as the .378 or .460 are a bit of a niche market and values can be hard to assign.

Too bad you didnt list this a month earlier as I just purchased a .378 Accumark from
Weatherby's Custom Shop(this was a custom chambering is that particular rifle).
It would have made a nice stablemate to my .340 Euromark.

Goodluck
