Need help quick from Gevarm guys or experts.

I just had a local call from a guy that heard me looking for an old Gevarm semi auto 22. He has one that is absolutely mint with no scratches. He said it had the wood stock, wood foregrip and the black action. This must mean it is the E-1. He bought it years ago and it never came with a magazine. He said he tried numerous gun shops and they laughed. They said the company specifically made each magazine for each gun. The owner even said he tried a handfull of Gevarm magazines and one would be too sloppy, one would be too tight and they all wouldn`t function.
I can pick this 22 up for $100 in mint shape/no magazine. I don`t want to be stuck here, what is the possibilty of finding one????????? Going at 1pm to look at the gun. I`ll snap pics and take all numbers off gun if this helps any. thanks,Darcy
 
Just got off the phone with western gun parts. Doesn`t sound good at all. He doesn`t know when their supplier will begin making mags gain. The mags are only sold to gunsmiths, since the mags need to be fitted to each rifle. He also mentioned that there isn`t one part on these guns that is available. He said I would have to wreck a second gevarm to get the parts I would ever need. He said: the lakefield Mossberg Mark 3`s were the same also. He told me to go buy a modern 10/22.
Just got up off the ground and dusted myself off from being humbled.
 
I can sell you a brand new parts gun with mags......I bought it from TradeEX a couple years ago and it's a bit of a lemon in the function department. I bought extra mags from Western when I got it and none of the mags(aftermarket or stock) worked reliably. I sold the aftermarket mags allready but I still have the mags that came with the gun from TradeEx. These were old/new stock from a warehouse in Europe and have a threaded muzzle.
I bought it because it was priced right for a brand new old gun and I had heard that they were reliable but I think the reliability is only in the ignition category due to the double strike on the rim.

I found two so far in mint shape and one 20 shot clip. What is the going rate for these with the factory 20 shot(not an aftermarket magazine)???
 
I bought 2 spare mags for my Gevarm ages ago ( wish I'd bought a lot more now), and when they arrived they were a very tight fit. I had to pinch the nose of the mag in slightly, no problems after that. I frankly don't believe this nonsense about handfitting each magazine at the factory.

Magazines are almost impossible to find and tend to be very expensive, especially the 20 rd. Williams has a Gevarm with 2 mags and the original box listed for $495. At auctions they tend to go for around 300-350, with the mag.
 
I think I've seen a couple in the last for yrs for about $100. There used to be a guy here in Winnipeg making them, but not sure who or where. And I think he was older than dirt then.

I bought two for mine a while ago. One seems to function perfectly the other a little finicky. Got them from Edmonton gun parts as well. Just buy it and wait for a clip or just resell it. These are interesting guns and even without a clip have to be worth more than 100$
