Need help selecting a scope....

You are 100% WRONG.The NXS has an illuminated reticle and it most certainly is available.I bought one just over a week ago.

Sooo where is the illumination coming from, I don't see a Battery box etc ??

You don't see a Battery box,because the Nightforce NXS doesn't have a "battery box" on their tactical scopes that sticks out like Leupold does.The battery is under the turret cap on the NXS.
