Hey fellas
some info on the gun first -
new sl8 with ar mag well conversion
using lar 15 mags and only use nato ball ammo m118? i think 62 grain
put through 200 rounds without a problem then I cleaned it and put through 400 rounds no problem then anther cleaning where is sat for a month.
yesterday at the range once in a while im getting a failure to eject and the old casings tip is stuck just inside the barrel and the new round get stripped and rammed up into the underside of the old casing with the bolt caught on the new round... WTF all I did was clean the gun and now this happens. could I have done somthing wrong.

ps once in a while there is the odd dud which i think is due to the hard military primers?

thanks guys :)

Clean thoroughly including the gas system and then wipe the excess oil off. The SL8 doesn't need a whole lot of lube to run right.

If that doesn't work you'll have to try other things.

i dont think i could go back to 5 round mags..... it would be like going back to the fat chick that could cook vrs the hot chick who burns water.
im hoping its somthing simple and i dont think it has to do with the mag conversion as its seems to be a failure to eject and not a failure to feed.

Can't help you, I run the AR mags on mine and have yet to run into that problem so keep your AR mag well. Strip and clean again, test and report back.

Remove the bolt carrier from the reciever and examine the bolt, extractor, ejector and chamber, etc. for any burrs, defects, dirt or debris that may be causing the malfunction. Is the bolt fully closing and locking? Is the mag sitting up too far and putting pressure on the bolt carrier? Thats just what I can think of off the top of my head. Although, I am not really sure what the problem may be.
