Howdy,
In the continuing clean up of my Mother's No. 5 I have discovered that I'm going to need a new recoil pad. I've checked with Numrich and they have them available but with their international shipping policy a $16.00 part ends up at my house for over $50.00. Does any body know of a Canadian supplier of these parts?

Get a group order going. You can get up to $200 worth of stuff from them.

I'd be in for a group order. There are several Enfield parts and accessories I'd like to get from them but not enough to get up to the full $200 worth allowed that would make the most of the flat rate international admin fee and the shipping fees.

I advertised for a No.5 Enfield butt pad in the EE for a while, had to settle for a complete butt. It was reasonably priced for what it was and solved my problem, but now I have a spare butt with fittings that needs a butt pad to be any use to anyone.

Thats about right, I was slooking to purchase a 1" thick rubberised M305 butt pad and only one place out west had one in stock, I'm in ON, the cost $20, the shipping cost $21 through CP, total with taxes, $46.33, Why can one dealer have free shipping over $100 and another charge you to the hilt. There's something rotten in Denmark. You would have to have rocks in your head to fall for this kind of noncense.

...presumably you expect the dealer to lose money on the item just to please you?

Offer any dealer $100 for that $20 butt pad and he'll gladly throw in the shipping for free.

Both those dealers are charging you for shipping. One is telling you how much. The other is only offering free shipping on deals big enough to hide the shipping costs in his price and still make a profit.
