Hello all;

I'm debating whether or not to sell this Mauser but I'm not 100 percent sure of it's identification and manufacture. I'm pretty confident that it is a 1930s Meffert Suhl Model B but there are some things about it that leave me questioning it. Any help to properly identify it would be great. Some of the things that have me wondering are:

-the manufacturer is 'Imman Meffert Suhl' (stamped on the barrel) but not stamped anywhere else;
-its a military K98 style action instead of a commercial action considering the suspected time frame of manufacture;
-Germany and Cal 30 are spelled out in English where I would have thought that those stamps would have been in German;

Other than that..well..here I am. Pics posted below of the various proof marks.

**Update**

An update for those who are interested, I recently heard back from German Hunting Rifles (an excellent website re German made firearms). What I have is:

-Immanuel Meffort made Mäuser Model B made in the Suhl region of Germany;
-Rifle was manufactured and proofed in 1923;
-Rifle was made for the American market in 30-06.
