Need help to restore a Inglis Hi Power three mag pouch

No, it was 2 mag, not three. As I said, similar. Do you have any information on those? I have never seen them outside of KAF.

Just out of curiosity, is this the holster you're talking about?

I've seen one on eBay about a year or so ago. It sold for $250ish dollars and I suspect it was"commandeered" from the service.

I don't think they've been officially surplused.

That shoulder holster has been supposed stopped being issued as it’s a giant safety hazard. They should come up for surplus soon, plus there is another version exactly like this but with an OD leather holster instead of nylon.

It really went for that price? That's an 82 patt. pc. of kit? Correct?

From what I can find, those setups were manufactured by Saskatoon Bag and Case, although there may be other or earlier manufacturers. The date on the ebay one is 1993. I cannot make out the NSN, as that can be used to date the introduction of the item. The style of buckles and the canvas web straps are more akin to the 60s webbing, however there are elements like the nylon holster which is more like the 82 pattern. They are not mentioned in Clive Law's book on the Inglis, which came out in 2001. Perhaps they hid in the warehouse until the Afghan conflict....I do not recall seeing them in Bosnia, just the leg holsters which were not well liked.

What did the issue leg drop holsters look like?

I don't think I've seen one before.

The Bianchi ones are the only ones I've seen that were official issue. For Bosnia I was issued one with the bits to rig it as a shoulder holster, belt holster or leg holster. All equally lousy, but it hardly mattered at the time.

Appears that it's a single piece of thin web folded over on itself to make the dividers.

I think that I should be able to make something work.

A more useless holster then that POS has yet to be invented, and I am sure when it is the brainiacs who procure equipment for the CAF will be throwing money at it and buying them............maybe they should look into if the Aussies or Brits have some krappy holster for sale.

yup crap holsters, but they were better then the pat82 webbing holster. Not going to find any with all the extra straps to rig as a shoulder holster. Almost everyone that is serious about shooting has bought their own pistol holsters and rigs. I don't know how many I've tried over the years but I have 2 that I keep going back to.

I wasn't issued one myself, but I was asked a couple times in Bosnia to re-sew them to make them more of a hip holster than a leg holster.

KAF was the wonderland of unnofficial holsters. Lots of the hodgy market supplied holsters kicking about in service. What was even neater to see were some of the old leather holsters the Americans were using with some of their pistols.

I ended up using a yank M7 shoulder holster in Bosnia. It had the chief advantage of being highly comfortable. Much more so than the boxy hard plastic Bianchi poking you in the ribs all the time.

Actual efficacy of use was far down on the list of considerations, well well below comfort of carry. I would have used a Galco Miami classic rig as the ultimate in comfort (god, they're comfy!) but I couldn't find one to fit the BHP at the time. Frankly having to carry a pistol at all was an unnecessary pain. I remember playing rock paper scissors to decide who had to bring "the pistol" when we went out to town for dinner.

Have those holsters been made available yet?

I kinda want one now. Out of morbid curiosity.

Go to your local armoury. Bring a 2-4. Drive around to the QM door and ask for the RQ. Plop the 2-4 on the counter. State your request.

I'm sure I'm overselling it. Likely a six pack of anything that isn't cat piss would do.

Unless you mean the Bianchi ones, in which case - much as you can still buy medieval reproduction armour - they're still being sold commercially.

You know, to be fair, they were terrible with the flap but take that off and use the thumb break piece and they were workable. Certainly not horrible in the context of the time they were designed.

Now that you mention it, it MIGHT have been AStan I got one issued with the shoulder harness bits? I dunno. Can't remember. It all went into a box at home and got thrown out years ago. Even the Army didn't want it back. I feel like it was a game of hot potato.
